Another Dutch team in the Grand Prix
Last season, Young Motion Team gained experience in the Grand Prix circus. The Overijssel team immediately managed to score seven points with Glen Meier. The Dane finished fourth in the KNMV Dutch Masters of Motocross 250cc. An eleventh place in the EMX250 was achieved with Meico Vettik. In 2023 there will be a collaboration with Resa Racing and the switch will be made to Yamaha. The line-up will be announced later, but we are thinking of Raf Meuwissen.
Wout ten Thije – Young Motion: “Over the past year we have gained experience in the GPs and we wanted to take the next step. We had already invested in additional facilities such as our own racing trailer, but through the collaboration with Resa Racing, the team can offer Yamaha engines and parts, its own workshop and good technical support. And it is very nice that we do this with a partner who is literally a kilometer away!”
Rene Satink – Resa Racing: “The team's plans immediately appealed to us! It is nice that as a modern MX shop you can give something back to the sport by supporting young talent at the highest level. At the same time, our customers can experience the GP team up close, because the race bikes are maintained in our workshop. In addition, we see a lot of potential to gain more technical knowledge from the highest level of motocross. The fact that we can do this with Yamaha motorcycles naturally completes the circle for us as an official Yamaha dealer!”
