Belgians reign supreme during BeNeDu cup in Wisskirchen
After the cancellation in Meijel, the first race in the BeNeDu cup for the MX 2 youth was scheduled in Wisskirchen, Germany. It was Bryan Maes, Jay-C Vanderelst and Brent van den Walle who ensured that there was an entirely Belgian stage. In all three heats, these three also finished in the first three places in this order.
With two third and one fourth place, fourth place in the daily ranking went to Jippe Selen (Ned). German Arne Berscheid completed the top five. In the standings for the Dutch MX2 Youth Championship (MON), Selen remains well in the lead ahead of Sjef Platte. Spaniard Roger Ponsa was not present but remains third in the standings. However, he does see Alex van Weerdenburg approaching, who is now five points off the podium. Peer Praagman rises to eighth place in the championship. This is at the expense of Daniel Kouws, who is now outside the top 10.
