Thibault Benistant goes under the knife after the MXGP of France
French MX2 rider Thibault Benistant's troubled shoulder continues to bother him. According to Team Manager Hans Corvers, Benistant will go under the knife after next weekend's race in Saint-Jean-d'Angély.
He will therefore have to miss the last GP of the year (on September 4). The ligaments in the shoulder are damaged to such an extent that the shoulder can come out at any time. Benistant drives constantly in pain and will also have a plate removed from the same shoulder during the operation. The rehabilitation will take more than three months and that is why it has been decided to have the procedure carried out now.
