Shimoda wins another 250 MX national!
Just now, in the early evening of Saturday our time, the AMA National of Unadilla was completed. The AMA Course, once co-designed by Roger De Coster, became a difficult nut to crack for championship leader Jett Lawrence…
But first to the winner of the day, Jo Shimoda! The Japanese rider on the Pro Circuit Kawasaki motorcycle managed to win the first series and finished in third place in the second series, enough for the overall victory in 'Dilla! With these two results he remained ahead of Justin Cooper (5-1) with 41 points in the overall standings. In third place we find Hunter Lawrence (5-2) with 38 points.
As mentioned, it was a more difficult match for Hunter's younger brother. In the first heat the HRC Honda pilot did not get further than seventh place and thus dropped a lot of points, but in the second heat he recovered with a second place. He still scored 36 points and only had to allow two points to his biggest competitor, enemy and brother Hunter Lawrence, and nine points to good friend Jo Shimoda!
PS: Also note the good result of Jorgen-Matthias Talviku, the Estonian managed to get into the points twice on his SC Sport Homes-Husqvarna and finished this AMA National with 8 points!
