Monster Energy Yamaha Racing Team starts new construction in Genk
The symbolic first spade was dug into the ground of Het Woudpark in Zwartberg on Thursday. This is a new business park, where the Monster Energy Yamaha Factory MX2 Team will also be housed. The team of Hans Corvers hopes to move to the new location at the end of 2023.
The earthworks have started and it was the team manager himself who lent a hand with the excavator. The team that started under the name KEMEA and with Jago Geerts is in the running for the world title in the MX2 class. Last year they won the world championship for the first time with the Frenchman Maxime Renaux.
