Lucas Coenen wins the first heat, Elzinga fourth
On the sand circuit of Hyvinkää, Lucas Coenen won the first round during the ninth race of the European 250cc Championship. The 15-year-old rider managed to take the victory ahead of Camden McLellan and Haakon Osterhagen. Rick Elzinga did well with a fourth place, he is again two points ahead of Cornelius Toendel who finished fifth. Dave Kooiker scored well with eighth place. Unfortunately, Jens Walvoort did not score, the Brabander crossed the finish line in 28th.
Sacha Coenen did not play, he injured himself and will not play again this weekend.
