Lucas Coenen takes the double, Elzinga close to title
With two heat victories, Lucas Coenen has won the ninth race of the European 250cc Championship. The 15-year-old Husqvarna rider was by far the best on the Hyvinkää circuit in both heats. Camden Mc Lellan (2-4) was back on the podium ahead of Andrea Bonacorsi (6-2). Rick Elzinga loses four points of his lead over Cornelius Toendel. With one race to go, Elzinga has a 40 point lead over the Norwegian, the final is on August 20-21 at the Saint Jean d'Angely circuit.
Dave Kooiker (13 points) and Jens Walvoort (10 points) score well. Sacha Coenen gets injured during qualifying and does not play.
