Horgmo on missing the podium
In Uddevalla Kevin Horgmo rode more or less in front of his own audience. After all, Norway is not on the Grand Prix calendar. The Kawasaki rider narrowly missed out on the podium with fourth place. The 20-year-old rider tells his story about the race in the Glimminge Motor Stadium.
Kevin Horgmo:
“During the training on Saturday it took me some effort to find the right rhythm. Fortunately, I was able to change this in the qualifying heat and that gave me a good feeling on race day. In the first moto I took the holeshot and then tried to follow Vialle and Geerts. They were just a little too fast for me, but I still managed to hold third place until the finish. In the second heat I chose a place a little further on the inside behind the starting gate. Because of this I didn't have a good start in the first corner. I also rode a bit cramped in the initial phase and fell briefly. I eventually finished fifth. It would have been nice to finish on the podium in front of my family and friends, but unfortunately this was not to be. Maybe I can change this next weekend. I've seen a lot of familiar faces here and I want to thank them for their support. Some fans from Norway told me that they liked it so much that they have already ordered tickets for next weekend."
