Elzinga is doing good business, Osterhagen is cheering
For many fans and friends, Haakon Osterhagen (Fantic) has won the eighth EMX250 race. The Norwegian took the day's victory after a 2-1 score. Rick Elzinga, who finished fifth, did good business in Uddevalla. The Yamaha rider now has a 44-point lead over Cornelius Toendel. Lucas Coenen dominated the second heat today but dropped out yesterday with a broken chain.
In addition to Osterhagen, Quentin Marc Prugnieres (2-3) and Camden Mc Lellan (3-6) were on the podium. Despite his series victory, Lucas Coenen had to settle for sixth place in the final standings. Sacha Coenen (6-11) scored in both heats, as did Dave Kooiker (13-14). Unfortunately, the other Laaglanders did not score in the Glimminge Motor Stadium.
The championship continues next week, the final will be held a week later in France. Elzinga now has a 44 point lead over Toendel, Lucas Coenen still has a chance of winning silver, but he must score well during the last two games.
