Cas Valk celebrates when Van Erp wins the heat
For the first time, the champion of the European 125cc Championship comes from the Netherlands. Cas Valk secured the title in Hyvinkää, the Fantic rider crossed the finish line in third place in the first round and that was more than enough. Ivano Van Erp completed the Dutch success, he managed to win the round ahead of teammate Karlis Alberts Reisulis. Levi Schrik (28th) and Lotte van Drunen (30th) unfortunately did not manage to get into the points.
