Seewer takes pole in the Lommel sand, Flanders fourth
Jeremy Seewer can start from pole position for the Belgian Grand Prix. The Yamaha rider managed to win the qualifying race and took his first pole of the season in Loket last week. Tim Gajser followed close behind but never became dangerous. Jorge Prado crosses the finish line in third place ahead of the Dutch Calvin Vlaanderen and Glenn Coldenhoff. Brent Van doninck is good for a nice seventh place!
A very good start for Seewer in the qualifying race over 20 minutes and two laps. The Swiss takes the lead ahead of Harri Kullas, Gajser and his teammate Evans. Arminas Jasikonis' substitute sees the Honda riders pass quickly and Kullas quickly disappears from the race. Gajser chases the leader, but he doesn't become dangerous. Evans can follow for a long time, but with two minutes left on the clock the Australian makes a mistake. This allows Prado to finish third. Coldenhoff has Flanders behind him and in the last lap the Cape Town-born rider strikes. Flanders comes fourth for Coldenhoff. Van Doninck rides strongly and he is easily the best Belgian with seventh place. Brian Bogers takes ninth place and Cyril Genot manages to cross the finish line in 18th. Sven van der Mierden places 20th and Davy Pootjes does not finish. Twan van Essen doesn't even start.
