Nick Kouwenberg finished fourth in SX Abano
A supercross was held this weekend in Abano, Italy, counting for the Italian championship. Since a rider from the Honda Martin Racing Team was injured, Dutch racing driver Nick Kouwenberg was briefly brought out of retirement.
Kouwenberg hung up his helmet a few years ago, but showed in Abano that he still knows where the throttle is. He promptly finished fourth in the final, which was won by Filippo Zonta.
Nick Kouwenberg : “What a weekend! I am very grateful that I received a call after several years of inactivity to participate in the Italian Supercross Championship. We had a great time in Abano yesterday. Too bad we just missed the podium with a fourth place in the final, but it doesn't matter. Thanks to Denis_573 and Maurizio from Martin Racing Technology for this unforgettable weekend.”
