Isak Gifting is sidelined with a serious knee injury
In Blaxhall Isak Gifting suffered a knee injury which forced him to miss the MXGP in Indonesia. The Swede was subsequently examined and his anterior cruciate ligament and meniscus were torn. Damage has also occurred in the knee and therefore surgery is necessary. This will be carried out in the short term, after which a rehabilitation of about five-six months will follow.
This means that we will no longer see Gifting in action this season. It is not yet known whether the team will hire a replacement in addition to Kay Karssemakers.
