Colt Nichols leaves Star Racing-Yamaha early
The collaboration between Colt Nichols and Star Racing-Yamaha comes to an unexpectedly early end. The American has decided to leave the team to prepare for 2023, when he will move to the toughest class. Nichols won the 2021SX title in 250, but he was seriously injured in the first race this year. There is no room for him on a YZ450F with his current team and it has therefore been decided to immediately take a different path.
According to rumors, Nichols will play for a new team that will be run by Mark McKenzie. He is the owner of the 83 Compound and with the support of Rocky Mountain ATV/MC and KTM, the Brit would set up a team.
