Bauer takes the title, Spijkerman best Lowlander
With two wonderful victories, Ricardo Bauer has won the European 65cc Championship. The Austrian won both heats on the Loket circuit, making him the successor to Lucas Leok. The Spaniards Pau Caudet Ruiz (4-3) Jorge Salvador (3-5) can climb onto the podium next to the Motor2000 KTM Racing Team rider.
The best Dutchman is Teunis Spijkerman, the 9-year-old rider finished 13th and 22nd during the heats. This puts the RoonFon Racing driver in 17th place in the final standings. Kenzo Jaspers also scores, the Brabander crosses the finish line in 18th place in the second round. The only Belgian, Torre Van Mechgelen (25-34), unfortunately did not manage to get into the points. Dion Brakke is allowed to take action in the second heat and he crosses the finish line in 30th.
