Vialle takes pole in Samota ahead of Geerts
For the fourth time this season, Tom Vialle starts from pole position. The Frenchman won the qualifying match on Saturday afternoon without many problems ahead of Jago Geerts and Thibault Benistant. Kay de Wolf rode in second place for a long time, but due to a slide he ended up sixth. Kay Karssemakers managed to qualify eighth.
Only 13 riders start for the qualifying race and Vialle takes the best start. The Frenchman is followed by Benistant, Simon Langenfelder and Geerts. De Wolf follows behind the Belgian and both pass Langenfelder in the second corner. Benistant tries to displace compatriot Vialle from the lead, but without success. In fact, De Wolf works his way up to second place. Geerts follows him and a duel for second place ensues. In the second half of the race the Husqvarna rider makes a mistake and falls. He drops to seventh place behind Andrea Adamo. The Italian is taken back and the 17-year-old rider finishes sixth. Vialle wins ahead of Geerts and his teammate Benistant. Laengenfelder gets into a fight with Kevin Horgmo in the final phase, but the German comes fourth ahead of the Norwegian.
Both competitions for points will be held tomorrow. The first heat starts at 6:15 am, the second follows at 19:10 pm. The matches can be watched LIVE via MXGP-TV, Eurosport2, the EurosportPlayer and via PlaySports.
