Motocross club Paal looking for new terrain
Organizing motocross competitions in Belgium is becoming increasingly difficult. Paal's motocross club recently lost its ground to a farmer and now has to look for a new location.
Motorcross club RW MX Team Paal has been organizing competitions for 35 years on the famous terrain in Marnicq Bervoets' backyard, but they were recently sold to a farmer who wants to grow corn on it. The club is now looking for approximately 8 hectares of industrial or agricultural land to accommodate a track and a riders' park. The municipal council of Beringen and more specifically the Alderman for Sport supports the initiative.
Our country has lost most of its motocross circuits since the turn of the century and the sport is suffering greatly as a result. There are hardly any licensed circuits and even for circuits that only organize a race once a year, the rules are becoming a lot stricter every year. People who have a tip for a suitable motocross terrain for the club in Paal can send an email to werner.renders1@gmail.com.
