Gajser takes his fourth pole of the season
For the fourth time this year, Tim Gajser will start from pole position. The Honda rider encountered no resistance during the qualifying race on Saturday afternoon in Samota-Sumbawa. Romain Febvre finished second ahead of Ruben Fernandez. The best Dutchman was Calvin Vlaanderen with fifth place for Glenn Coldenhoff. Brian Bogers did not start due to illness, Jeremy Seewer did but did not finish.
Under warm conditions, Gajser sprints best to the first corner. The Slovenian takes the lead in the 20-minute, two-lap qualifying race ahead of Pauls Jonass and Coldenhoff. Febvre follows in fourth place and the Kawaski rider works his way to second place. Gajser has the best pace in the first half of the match, but then Febvre gets into the match better. The Frenchman makes up time on the leader, but he manages to prevent a connection. Gajser wins ahead of Febvre and Fernandez. Jorge Prado takes fourth place ahead of Flanders and Coldenhoff. Unfortunately we don't see any Belgians in action this weekend.
Both competitions for points will be held tomorrow. The first heat starts at 7:15 PM, the second follows at 10:10 PM. The races can be watched LIVE via MXGP-TV, Eurosport2, the EurosportPlayer and the Belgian PlaySports also shows all heats live! The NOS has a live stream via their website, but only the MXGP class!
