AMA 250MX: Jett Lawrence continues winning streak in Thunder Valley
Once again Jett Lawrence (2-2) was partying in the American 250MX outdoor championship. He won the third round in Thunder Valley. However, Yamaha rider Levin Kitchen rode to a nice victory in race 1 and Jett's brother Lawrence won the revival. Justin Cooper finished third each time.
Kitchen only reached the 10th fastest time in the morning qualifying sessions. He led authoritatively from start to finish in the first series. The Yamaha rider won by almost ten seconds over defending champion Jett Lawrence (HRC Honda). The youngest of the Lawrence brothers was away in fourth and quickly dealt with Stilez Robertson (Rockstar Energy Husqvarna) and Justin Cooper (Star Racing Yamaha) to take second. Hunter Lawrence was gone in the top 10 but still came back to P4.
However, the second heat turned out to be Hunter's way. He was in the lead from the first to the last lap. Followed by Jett Lawrence and Justin Cooper, numbers two and three were exactly the same as in race one. Polesitter Michael Mosiman (GASGAS) and Levi Kitchen (Yamaha) now completed the top 5.
Jett Lawrence currently has a 12-point lead over his brother Hunter, Jo Shimoda remains third but is already following at 38 points.
