Jannes Vos closes DMofMX well
In Rhenen, Jannes Vos scored well during the last competition of the KNMV Dutch Masters of Motocross 85cc. Despite particularly warm conditions, the 12-year-old rider managed to cross the finish line in seventh and eighth. The student came eighth in the daily rankings, and the championship ended in tenth.
In the training Jannes immediately felt good on his MotoXShop-KTM and he managed to qualify well with a ninth fastest time for later in the day. The 'Circuit Kwintelooyen' is in very nice condition, but the conditions are tough and difficult. The start of the first heat is very good and Jannes enters the first corner in third place. There he goes a bit wide, causing places to be lost. The South Hollander starts the climb to the highest point on the circuit in sixth place. This position is maintained when completing the first lap and a little later the Belgian Ian Ampoorter passes. A little later this also passes Dex van den Broek and these three riders do not differ much from each other. There is no fight and Jannes crosses the finish line in seventh place.
The start of the second heat is also good and the rider from Reeuwijk comes seventh from the first round. One lap later, Taspinar de Vos Racing Team rider passes him, but eighth place is no longer in danger. Jannes also finished eighth in the daily rankings and finished in a respectable tenth place in the championship.
Next weekend Jannes will travel to the Czech Republic for the fifth race of the European Championship 85cc North-West. During these competitions riders can qualify for the big EMX final next month during the MXGP of the Czech Republic at the Loket circuit.
