James Stewart goes to e-Xplorer competition with Team
James “Bubba” Stewart is without a doubt a very tough motocross rider and perhaps one of the fastest ever. He is now starting a new chapter by starting his own team that will compete in the brand new e-Xplorer races.
Bubba won no fewer than fifty Supercross races and was crowned Supercross Champion twice. The team with which he competes in this new competition will logically be named “Seven Racing”. The competition is organized in the autumn by the FIM and is specifically for electrically powered off-road motorcycles, the so-called e-Xplorer World Cup.
The first race of this new competition will take place in September this year. Twelve teams, each team consisting of a woman and a man, will have to complete tests with electric motors. They will compete in a series of global events set in an iconic mix of inner cities and natural outdoor locations.
James Stewart: "During my career I saw major changes in motorsports and I am proud to be part of them. I believe the future of off-road sports is going to be electric and that's why it's an exciting idea to start with e-Xplorer."
