New layout for circuit in Pietramurata
This weekend the MXGP circus moves to northern Italy for the fifth race of the year. The race in Trentino will be a bit different for the riders this year.
Although there can hardly be any major changes per se, the riders will ride the other way around this weekend. The Crossodromo “il Ciclamino” will therefore provide a different experience, with only minor changes, while the essence of the circuit will remain the same.
Pietramurata first competed in the FIM Motocross World Championship in 1987. The first Grand Prix was won by Massimo Contini in the 125cc category. Since then, 16 grand prix races have been held on the hardpack circuit. Several triple headers were also scheduled in 2020 and 2021.
