Kevin Strijbos is the spearhead of Team Belgium in Foxhill
The B & I vintage Belgium team has Bart Verelst as manager. He has today released the team for VMXDN Foxhill which will be held at the iconic Wiltshire circuit from 26-29 August 2022.
The three-person team is led by none other than Kevin Strijbos. He will ride a pair of pristine 2002 KX 250s supplied and built by English former Grand Prix wrench Bob Bratcher.
Kevin is no stranger to the international stage. He has had a long career at the highest level, from 85cc world champion in 1999 to European 125 champion in 2001 and a glittering Grand Prix career in which he finished second in the world championship in both 2006 and 2007 and was part of the 2004 the winning MXdN team.
Strijbos currently works for the Kawasaki KHI MXGP factory team as a rider trainer so he can pass on his years of experience. One of his riders, Roman Fevbre, is determined to come and support Kevin at the event, as is the team owner.
The Belgian team has also entered Mike Vanderstraeten, a former Grand Prix rider who will ride a KX 500, as well as former IMBA champion Danny Wauters, who represents the +40 team. Vanderstraeten is also in the Belgian VMXIT Team, which will run a similar race in mid-October in Pietramurata, Trentino. The race in Foxhill will be held on August 27 and 28.
