Jago Geerts takes his fourth pole of the season
For the fourth time this season, Jago Geerts starts from pole position. The Yamaha rider managed to win the qualifying race for the Latvian Grand Prix. Isak Gifting managed to pass World Cup leader Tom Vialle in the final phase, meaning the Swede finished second ahead of the Frenchman. Kevin Horgmo 'trains' fourth for Jeremy Sydow who will be active this weekend on Roan van de Moosdijk's Husqvarna. Kay de Wolf is the best Dutchman, he crossed the finish line in eighth place.
Rick Elzinga will start tomorrow from fourteenth place, Kay Karssemakers will cross the finish line in 22nd. Liam Everts has had setbacks and had to retire early due to machine problems.
Both competitions for points will be held tomorrow. The first heat starts at 12:15 PM, the second follows at 15:15 PM. The matches can be watched LIVE via MXGP-TV, the EurosportPlayer and via PlaySports in Belgium.
