Harfsen once again theater for Dutch Masters of Motocross
The Dutch Masters of Motocross returns to Harfsen on Sunday, May 1! In this penultimate round of the championship, anything can happen in the 125cc, 250cc and 500cc classes. In the previous two rounds we already saw great battles in all participating classes between world top riders from the MXGP, EMX and the ONK. With the cancellation of the competition in Oss, it is even more important to perform well in Harfsen to have a chance of winning the title during the final in Rhenen on June 18.
In the 500cc it is heart against heart between Calvin Vlaanderen, Glenn Coldenhoff and Brian Bogers, who have been making each other's lives miserable for two weekends. In the overall championship standings there is a difference of only five points between Flanders and Coldenhoff and between Coldenhoff. Tension between this trio is guaranteed, although Sven van der Mierden, Adam Sterry and Stefan Ekerold are still like privateers on the coast from a distance.
Rick Elzinga is in charge in the 250cc and has a small lead over his pursuer Lucas Coenen. Glen Meier occupies third place after four heats.
Everything is still possible in the 125cc. Janis Reisulis can call himself the leader in the championship, but within shooting distance we see Mirco ten Kate, Magnus Gregersen and Ivano van Erp. Van Erp showed what he has to offer in Oldebroek by twice commanding Reisulis to second place.
The final list of participants for Harfsen will appear at the end of this week on dutchmastersofmotocross.nl, as will the timetable. The 85cc will not start in Harfsen.
Ecomaxx Holeshot Award
The Ecomaxx Holeshot Award 2022 was introduced during the race in Arnhem. In Harfsen the riders will once again do everything they can to win this prize. The standings for the Ecomaxx Holeshot Award can be found here.
Family outing
Under the slogan: 'A day out, a day in Peppelenbos', the Motorsport Harfsen Foundation has been organizing its events for years. Characteristic is the unique combination of top motocross and a day out for the whole family. While children have fun, mom and dad can enjoy the absolute world top in motocross while enjoying a snack and a drink!
In collaboration with local childcare Graaf Jantje, the club has set up a completely screened children's play area 'het Blagenparadijs'. The kids are thoroughly entertained here under professional supervision. Costs have been spared, partly thanks to partner Royal Reesink. For example, it is possible for the children to do crafts and face painting and there are various games, obstacle courses, a climbing tower, pedal tractors and mini excavators for the future ground workers.
