Vialle wins when Geerts increases his lead
Tom Vialle managed to book his first GP victory of the season in Neuquen. The Frenchman finished second and first in South America, taking the victory ahead of Jago Geerts (1-2) and Mikkel Haarup (4-3). After three games, Geerts has a 26 point lead over Vialle. Not a good match for the Dutch because Kay de Wolf and Roan van de Moosdijk are injured, De Wolf can add four more points.

When the starting gate for the first heat drops, Geerts gets off to a good start, but it is Vialle who wins the FOX Holeshot Award. De Wolf follows in third place ahead of Simon Laengenfelder and the little Italian Gianluca Facchetti. In the first full lap, De Wolf tries to take second place from Geerts, but he manages to prevent this. Laengenfelder connects with the Husqvarna rider, but the German makes a mistake in the attack. About 20 meters further on, De Wolf also runs into problems and the Eersel resident falls. He is lying on the circuit, but the flagger decides to calmly look at the fallen Laengenfelder. With three laps to go, the tension increases as Geerts starts to increase the pressure on Vialle. With success because when the match time is over, the Balenian manages to launch the attack and takes over the lead! The third moto victory in a row is a fact for the Yamaha rider. Vialle comes second ahead of Guadagnini who manages to pass Kevin Horgmo on the last lap. In the last lap the Norwegian is also passed by Mikkel Haarup, the Dane comes fourth ahead of the Norwegian. De Wolf has now returned to the riders' quarters under his own power, but will not be in action in the second round.

When the starting gate for the second heat drops, Vialle gets off to a good start, but Facchetti crashes hard in the second corner. The Italian needs to be attended to, which is why the race management raises the red flag. At the restart, Laengenfelder is the best starter, the German takes his third FOX Holeshot Award of the season. Geerts, Vialle, Jeremy Sydow and Horgmo follow. In the first full lap Geerts takes the lead but Vialle follows and in the fifth laps the Frenchman is the new leader. In the second half of the race, Geerts seems to be getting closer, but Vialle sees the danger and manages to prevent the Yamaha rider from connecting. When Geerts makes two more small mistakes, the way is clear for Vialle, who takes his 15th GP victory by winning the second round. Geerts comes second ahead of Haarup, who takes another GP podium after more than two years. Guadagini crosses the finish line fourth ahead of teammate Laengenfelder.
