Rick Elzinga about his victory in Mantova
The first race of the European 250cc Championship went well for Rick Elzinga. The rider from Zenderen managed to win the race and is therefore the first leader in the standings. The Yamaha rider talks about his race on the Mantova circuit.
Rick Elzinga:
“The first moto went very well, I was able to improve myself and ride better and better in the race. The second heat went much less well, especially in the initial phase, I had a hard time and experienced a lot. Fortunately, I managed to come back well with fourth place as a result. That's enough for the win and the redplate! We prepared very well during the winter and that effort is now being rewarded. I am very happy to be back with Yamaha and I would like to thank my team. Furthermore, of course, the sponsors and my family. I'm looking forward to the match in Portugal.”
