Heavy crash for Kyle van Zutphen
Kyle van Zutphen had a serious crash during the first race of the KNMV Dutch Masters of Motocross 250cc. The Brabander crashed after more than 10 minutes in the first moto. Because he was in a lot of pain, the race doctor and the first aid decided not to take any risks and the race was stopped partly due to another accident. A trauma helicopter arrived later, but this was not necessary.
“Due to the pain in his back, Kyle was taken to the hospital in Nijmegen. There he was extensively examined and it turned out that he had suffered 6 broken ribs and a bruised lung. It remains to be seen how he will recover for the time being. We hope that he will be able to walk again soon and that the pain will not be too bad,” said trainer Davey Janssen of the We.Love.Moto Racing Team.
