No Thomas Kjer Olsen in Portugal
He was ranked seventh in the MXGP standings but has to retire this weekend. Thomas Kjer Olsen will not start in the Portuguese MXGP of Agueda due to an injury.
In the second round of the MXGP in Argentina, through no fault of his own, TKO collided with an opponent in the air and injured his hand in the subsequent crash. Yesterday, on the advice of the joint doctor, Thomas and the team decided not to start the MXGP in Portugal to allow the hand to fully heal.
Thomas Kjer Olsen: “Due to my crash in Argentina, my team and I unfortunately have to do without a starting permit in Portugal. I tried riding this week, but the pain in my hand was just too bad. I hope that I can train fully again soon and continue my performances of the past few weeks.”
