1e some
Taspinar does not get off to a good start from pole position, the first Ecomaxx Holeshot Award goes to Kooiker. The Husqvarna rider is followed by Van Mechgelen and Dean Gregoire. In the first lap, 11-year-old Gregoire manages to take the lead ahead of Van Mechgelen and Kooiker. In the second lap, leader Gregoire makes a mistake and that paves the way for Van Mechgelen. Jayson van Drunen works his way up to second place but disappears from the race. Jarne Bervoets comes on strong from the backfield, but he also gets into trouble. Kooiker seems to be in second place, but in the last lap Taspinar strikes hard. The 15-year-old rider managed to finish second ahead of Kooiker and Maxime Lucas. The Belgian rides strongly and manages to stay ahead of Gyan Doensen in this great race.
2e some
Van Mechgelen makes the best start and wins the Ecomaxx Holeshot Award. Mick Kennedy follows for Gregoire. In the first round the rider from Arendonk loses two places, but he manages to recover. Doensen arrives in second place after four laps and tries to catch up with the leader. The tension mounts and in the last round the Limburger strikes, Doensen wins the second round ahead of 13-year-old Van Mechgelen. Taspinar crosses the finish line in third place ahead of Dani Heitink and Gregoire.
Next time:
The championship will continue on Easter Monday and will be held on April 18 at the Oldebroek circuit. However, the 85cc will not be in action here for the EMX65-EMX85 race the same weekend in Denmark! The race in Harfsen on May 8 is in doubt due to an adjustment in the MXGP calendar, so it will be continued.
