Opener Belgian motocross season is coming
The first Belgian motocross of the 2022 season will be held on Saturday (Youth) and Sunday, March 6, 2022 at the Heeserbergen GP circuit in Lommel. It is the first of six competitions for the Belgian Championship and the Flemish Championship.
Almost all Belgian license holders can participate under cover of their license. For the KNMV riders, Lommel can be the perfect run-up to the Dutch Masters, which will be held a week later in Arnhem. Like last season, you can register in advance via https://motoinside.app
The program on Saturday was slightly changed, with separate time training and separate competition series being provided for the 65cc small wheel class. The riders who ride a 65cc machine with large wheels will ride together with the newcomers 85cc. For the preparation of the Belgian 65cc championship, a combined (scratch) ranking will be drawn up in which the riders will be awarded the points achieved in their competition series.
All riders in possession of a Europe Open motocross permit, a national motocross permit from Motorsport Vlaanderen or FMWB (AMPL), or riders with a valid foreign permit can participate in Lommel and receive points for the Belgian championship.
As a result of a cooperation agreement with FAM Vlaanderen, riders in possession of a VJMO/MCLB or VMCF permit can also participate in this competition, but outside the championship. Because they do not have a competition of their federation on March 5 and 6, this can be done by simply showing their permit. The same applies to FPCNA license holders.
Regional permit holders of Motorsport Flanders (MC Lille) can participate subject to payment of a surcharge on site. Finally, non-permit holders can subscribe to a day permit on site. Appointment for all motocross enthusiasts on March 5 and 6 in Lommel!
