Beaton and Horgmo about their British GP
The first Grand Prix of the F̂&H Kawasaki Racing Team went well. Jed Beaton made a big impression during his MXGP debut while Kevin Horgmo seems reborn. Marc de Reuver's men talk about their first GP of the season in Matterley Basin.
Jed Beaton:
"I am very satisfied with my day. I didn't know what to expect and that's why it's quite crazy to finish sixth in your very first MXGP race. I think everyone likes to drive on this track and I felt very relaxed all day. In the heats I managed to get a good start both times and rode my own race. I tried to drive consistently and this gave me fifth and seventh place. I feel very comfortable on the 450 bike and I enjoy riding it. It's a little heavier, but I'm a big boy and that's why a little more power is nice for me."
Kevin Horgmo:
“I got two good starts and came through the first corner very well in both motos. I had a very good first fifteen minutes in both the first and second heats. Unfortunately, I made too many mistakes after that. First of all I braked the bike and then crashed. After finishing seventh in the first moto, I was in third place for a long time in the second moto. Unfortunately I crashed again. It is mentally good for me to work with Marc. We have made great strides with the entire team. I feel very comfortable on the Kawasaki and the team has helped me improve my riding. Of course we can continue to build. I feel so confident on the bike that I can push the bike more than ever. Maybe I pushed a little too much today. I'm a little bit angry with myself, but we can only learn from this."
