Barcia and Brown about their match in Minneapolis
The games of both Justin Barcia and Pierce Brown did not go smoothly in Minneapolis. Barcia finished fifth during the seventh race of the season, Brown had to settle for sixth place. For Brown, it was the first race of the Monster Energy AMA Supercross Championship 250SX EastCoast. Both riders talk about the race at the US Bank Stadium here.
Justin Barcia:
“It's nice to be back on the east coast of the country. The Heat race was actually pretty good until I crashed. This meant that my starting place in the final was less, but I made the best of it. I came forward from ninth place and when colleagues crashed I managed to cross the finish line in fifth place. Driving was very difficult, so I am not satisfied with that. Fifth place is good, but we have to do better to stay in the title fight.”
Pierce Brown:
“The Heat Race was good with a win, but the start of the final was not good. I started in the midfield and came out of the second laps in tenth place. It was difficult to pass and that broke my evening. I'm happy with sixth place, not a bad start, but we definitely have to improve to at least get on the podium. For the most part I'm excited, I crossed a few things off the list tonight and I'm ready for next weekend!”
