Tomac and Ferrandis about their podium places
In San Diego, both Eli Tomac and teammate Dylan Ferrandis managed to finish on the podium. The Yamaha riders are also doing well in the standings of the Monster Energy AMA Supercross Championship. Tomac hasn't won a match yet but he is the new leader! Both Star Racing drivers tell their story here from Petco Park.
So Tomac:
“It was a very good match today. We are improving every weekend and with that great start a match is completely different. It's so nice when your work pays off during the week when it has to. I had a good start but I also felt good everywhere on the circuit. The goal is to keep improving, we are already on the podium after three games and we have the lead! We will keep improving, keep getting better, and with a little fine-tuning we will be there. Constant scoring will be the key to success this season and we will try to keep it going.”
Dylan Ferrandis:
“To be on the podium is always great, so it was definitely a good competition. Today did not go smoothly, but third place in the final is good for us. I felt great on the bike and my lap times were good but the heat didn't go well after a difficult start. My starting position for the final was not good, but fortunately my start was good. I managed to improve myself afterwards, with this as a result. I'm happy to have achieved my first podium of the season and celebrating it with my teammate is even better. I think that the hard work of the past few months will pay off. There are still areas for improvement, but we will succeed and then we can be on the podium more often.”
