Barcia: “This was a great race!”
For the past three seasons, Justin Barcia has been able to win the first match of the season. This time 'BamBam' had to settle for third place. Michael Mosiman really wants to take his first Supercross victory, but that was not possible in Anaheim after problems in the early stages. Mosiman was not dissatisfied with a sixth place, the TLD riders look back on the finals in the Angel Stadium.
Justin Barcia:
“This was a great race! I had a lot of fun and we had some great fights there. The pressure is now gone and I can work on myself, keep going and keep having fun. It was a great winter in which we worked hard to improve both myself and the bike. I am happy with the result, it is good to start the championship with a podium place and now it is time to continue building. I'm really looking forward to the next race!”
Michael Mosiman:
“Anaheim I is in the books and it was a very intense one! I had so much fun all day, honestly more fun than I ever had at an event. I felt super confident on the bike and everything clicked, I just rode well within my capabilities. It's a shame that the final didn't start well and I got into trouble later, it's quite hectic there in the backfield. I am proud of my driving and the fact that I managed to finish sixth. I think I can participate in the title fight.”
