Walter Roelants to Dakar Rally for the second time
After the tough previous edition of the Dakar Rally, it seemed that Walter Roelants would settle for one participation. He then finished the race and immediately set a record as the oldest Belgian ever to finish on a motorcycle. The 1 will start on January 2022, 44th edition of the Dakar Rally and Roelants will be there again.
He has clearly got the hang of it and is now preparing to start on New Year's Day in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia. In the meantime, he managed to complete the Rallye du Maroc successfully. This time too he will try to finish the race on a Husqvarna. As many as 166 engines will start. Kevin Benavides won the previous edition after a tough battle with Sam Sunderland and Ricky Brabec.
