Shaun Simpson says goodbye to the World Cup
In addition to Antonio Cairoli and Kevin Strijbos, Shaun Simpson will also ride his last GP tomorrow. The 33-year-old Scot announced that he will focus on the championships in England in 2022. Simpson achieved four GP victories, seven GP heats and was on a GP podium ten times. In addition, he was on the podium twice during the Motocross of Nations!
Simpson made his World Championship debut at the age of sixteen during the 2004 South African GP. He immediately scored both heats in Suncity thanks to a 16th and 19th place during the heats. In 2009 and 2010 “Braveheart” was part of the Red Bull KTM Factory Racing Team. One year later he won the Belgian MX1 title. Shaun was also successful in the MX of Nations. He was on the podium with Team GB in both 2019 and this year.
