Shin-fibula fracture for Romain Febvre
Kawasaki superstar Romain Febvre fell victim to a very serious accident yesterday during the 38th Paris SX. spectacular fall. Given the brutal nature of his crash, the scan at hospital was somewhat reassuring.
As Dr. Richard Leneuf suspected on the spot, February suffered “only” a tibia-fibula fracture. These fractures require surgery that will now be performed in Paris as soon as possible. After this operation, the Kawasaki rider will begin a recovery period.
From a sporting point of view, Romain Febvre is impressing in the La Défense Arena. He set the third fastest time during the Superpole and successfully competed with the SX specialists.
In the end, the MXP vice world champion comes off well. However, this injury is very inconvenient for the 29-year-old Frenchman who will switch to IceOne Racing this winter, which will now run the Kawasaki MXGP factory team. The “fib-tib” fracture that Febvre sustained in Paris will certainly make itself felt in the reduced preparation time for the new World Cup. The first GP will take place in Great Britain in 84 days.
The mxmag editorial team wishes Romain a speedy recovery.
