Product: the electric children's cross bikes from Torrot
If you think that electric minicrossers are only made in Austria, you are wrong. Torrot is a Spanish manufacturer of electrically powered motocross bikes for ages 3 to 9 years.
The Torrot company from Girona, Spain has been around since 1948 and in the early years was mainly concerned with producing bicycles. The love for motorcycles soon arose and the brand produced all kinds of things for other brands. In 2011, a new wind blew and Torrot put the past aside and made the transition to electrically powered two-wheelers.
Torrot's children's motocross bikes are part of the remains of GasGas after the takeover by the KTM group. Torrot further developed them into the typical blue and white crosses for the little ones among us. There is the Cross One for ages 3 to 7 years and the Cross Two for crossers from 6 to 9 years. The Cross One runs up to 32 km/h while its bigger brother has a maximum speed of 40 km/h.
parental Control
The machines are equipped with a replaceable battery so you never run out of power and charging between sessions is not a real requirement. Torrot has also equipped the dirt bikes with the so-called “Parental Control”. Via an app, parents can remotely limit, configure and even silence their child's motorcycle via their mobile phone, via an Android or iOS application.
Torrot has taken care of every detail of its new generation for children, all of which feature: hydraulic aluminum front fork from the Italian company EBR, MITAS tires, TORROT ELECTRIC motor and programmable controller, throttle with charge indicators and battery consumption, powerful lithium battery , resistant ABS -plastic hoods, chrome-molybdenum chassis and a swingarm reinforced with a hydraulic shock absorber.
Torrot also has electric trial motorcycles and supermotard motorcycles for children in its range. They think about the future and work hard on future models. For example, electric equivalents for 65, 85 and 125cc dirt bikes will soon be available.
Electric crosser from BHR
The importer of the Torrot children's crossers is Endurofun from Geetbets. They import the machines for the Benelux and organize test sessions and training for novice riders. All information can be found on the website https://www.torrotbenelux.com They are now also introducing the BHR brand. BHR is a thoroughbred electric crosser that is in the pre-production phase. The machine is being built in China and is expected to be launched on the market in 2022. The price would be very affordable for a motorcycle that comes equipped with quality parts. We are eagerly looking forward to a test with a production model of this electric crosser.
