Spicy reactions to team orders at KTM
The third match in Pietramurata was also an exceptionally exciting spectacle. Romain Febvre, Tim Gajser and Jeffrey Herlings once again wrote a big chapter of a motocross thriller and it was in line with expectations that team orders would arise.
There were at Red Bull KTM and that became very clear after Herlings' two crashes in the second series. Antonio Cairoli kept to the assigned agreements and let The Bullet alongside without offering any resistance. Immediately after the match, Cairoli received spicy reactions from a number of hotheads via social media. There were even some death threats, which were strongly condemned by the Sicilian.
Antonio Cairoli: "I turned 5de common today. Happy with the speed, not with the result, but sometimes you have to respect team orders and help your teammates. Any brand would have done the same if they had a teammate fighting for the world title. So for those few people who send me life threatening messages. STOP! I don't deserve this because I always behave like a true gentleman INSIDE and OUTSIDE the circuit!"
