“The world title has always been my dream and my goal.”
During the last Grand Prix of the season, Jeremy Seewer secured fourth place in the FIM MXGP World Championship. Glenn Coldenhoff finished seventh on the Mantova circuit and Ben Watson finished eleventh overall. All three of Louis Vosters' Yamaha riders tell their story about the World Cup final here.
Jeremy Seewer:
“The last two GPs in Mantova were very good. I had the speed to be in the top three, and the top three had to put in 120% today because they were all fighting for the title. So being able to keep up with them was very positive. I have really made a step recently in terms of bike setup and have fought back after the physical problems I had almost the entire season. I started the day fourth and I managed to climb to 4th place, and of course that doesn't really count, but it's always nice to gain a few more places. The podium was not far away today, I am very happy with that, and it gives me the confidence and motivation for the coming season.”
Glenn Coldenhoff:
“Today we started quite well. We made some big changes to the bike compared to last weekend and it worked really well. It's been quite a tough season for me, especially mentally. I found it difficult to accept what the results were like at times this year, not only for me but also for the people around me. We will continue to work hard and will not give up. That's something I'm proud of and now we're ready to make plans for next winter and hopefully we'll come back stronger and be able to fight the boys for the title again. That has always been my dream and my goal.”
Ben Watson:
“Honestly, my first MXGP season was really tough. We've had a lot of good moments but also a lot of bad ones. But, I learned a lot from it and if I could do things over again, I would do many things differently. I also have mixed feelings about riding today, the results are not what I wanted, but I felt better on the bike than the previous race and we will take the positive points with us.”
