VIDEO: an electric prototype in the sand of Deurne (NL)
We wrote about the EMX PRO, the electric crosser developed by EMX Powertrain in the Netherlands. A few years ago they started from an existing standard Yamaha frame and turned it into an electrically powered crosser.
The EMX PRO has already received many updates and has been extensively tested on various tracks. The machine performs well on a variety of track conditions. With the familiar steering character of its petrol predecessor, the EMX-PRO feels stable and controllable in fast jumps and turns. Using the mapping switch, the desired engine characteristic can be selected for different track conditions.
A few days ago, the people from EMX Powertrain went to the motocross track of Deurne in the Netherlands. A heavy sand track drains the battery even faster and puts even more strain on the electronics than on a harder track. Watch the video below to see how that went.
