Title candidates immediately in the leading group, Herlings takes pole
For the ninth time this season, Jeffrey Herlings starts from pole position. The 27-year-old rider was slightly faster than Tim Gajser in training for the Spanish GP. Romain Febvre set the third fastest time, meaning the title candidates immediately found themselves in the leading group! Jorge Prado is good for the fourth fastest time, followed by Jeremy Seewer.
Brian Bogers is training well with the seventh fastest time, just behind teammate Pauls Jonass. Glenn Coldenhoff is good for the twelfth time, Calvin Vlaanderen (17th), Jeremy Van Horebeek (19th), Brent van Doninck (23rd) and Kevin Strijbos (27th) are also in action this afternoon. The first heat starts at 13:15 PM.
