Renaux wins battle Geerts, small slider Vialle
Maxime Renaux wins a Grand Prix for the fourth time this season. The Frenchman finished second and first on the Arroyomolinos circuit, doing good business in the FIM MX2 World Championship. Thanks to this victory, the Yamaha rider increases the lead in the standings to 108 points! Jago Geerts does not ride a good first heat, but in the second heat he fights to the checkered flag with Renaux. In the daily rankings, Tom Vialle (1-3) is second ahead of Jed Beaton (4-4).
Geerts is the best Laaglander today, despite the poorer first heat he still finishes sixth today. Kay the Wolf (6-18) scored both games, Roan van de Moosdijk doesn't get any points.

Vialle takes the FOX Holeshot Award for the twelfth time this season. The KTM rider is followed by KTM colleague Mattia Guadagnini, Geerts, Renaux and the Swede Isak Gifting. In the first lap, Renaux immediately manages to work his way to the front, while Gifting pushes the Belgian Yamaha rider back to fifth place. Guadagnini makes a mistake in the first round, causing him to lose connection with Renaux. Vialle seems to be taking distance, but halfway through the heat Renaux comes closer to his compatriot again. The difference is only 0,8 seconds, but Vialle sees the danger and works his way out anyway. He wins a GP round for the tenth time this year. Renaux comes second ahead of Guadagnini, Jed Beaton and Rene Hofer. Geerts narrowly crashes in the first half of the race and thus loses fourth place. When the Balenian crashed again later, he crossed the finish line in thirteenth place. De Wolf rides a nice race and fights for a long time with Gifting for sixth place. The Husqvarna rider takes this position while Van de Moosdijk leaves the race with a painful hand. Julian Vander Auwera crosses the finish line 27th and last.

Vialle also takes the FOX Holeshot Award in the second round, but he has to work hard to stay ahead of Geerts. In the first round, the 21-year-old Bale native manages to take the lead. Behind him, Vialle and Renaux get into a fight together. For a long time Vialle seems to win this fight because he returns to leader Geerts and he takes Renaux with him! In the second half of the race, 21-year-old Renaux managed to pass Vialle and a little later the Yamaha rider also overtook his teammate. Vialle watches and tries to put pressure on Geerts, but the reigning champion makes a mistake that causes him to fall. Geerts becomes dangerous in the final phase, but Renaux wins this round and the French GP! Geerts comes second ahead of Vialle and Beaton. Ruben Fernandez completes the top five to the delight of the Spanish fans and Honda. De Wolf is in a nice sixth place until he crashes briefly. The Eersel resident then finished 18th, where Van de Moosdijk did not participate in the second round. Vander Auwera does that and he is flagged as 26th.
Next time:
The last five matches of the championship will be held in Italy. Starting next weekend in Arco di Trento, there will be two more races on the same circuit. The GP circus will be a guest at the Mantova circuit on November 7 and 10.
