Marc-Reiner Schmidt takes the S1 world title
In Castelletto di Branduzzo, Marc-Reiner Schmidt conquered the FIM World Supermoto Championship. The 25-year-old German finished third on the Italian circuit, but his lead of 17 points was not in danger. Lukas Hollbacher (2-1-1) won the match ahead of defending champion Thomas Chareyre (1-2-2). The 33-year-old Frenchman will therefore have to wait a while for his ninth world title.
