Geerts bows in a duel with Renaux, Vialle triumphs
Even though Jago Geert closed the door, Maxime Renaux managed to slip through the keyhole. The World Cup leader crosses the finish line in fourth in the first round in Lacapelle Marival. Tom Vialle dominates the race and wins ahead of KTM colleague Mattia Guadagnini and Jed Beaton. Renaux finished fourth ahead of his teammates Geerts and Thibault Benistant.
Roan van de Moosdijk sends his Kawasaki across the finish line in ninth place and Kay de Wolf scores two points. The Husqvarna rider crashed in the first corner and therefore has to give chase.
