The annual Mettet Superbiker is a classic and one of the most important European competitions of its kind. The races, entertainment on and around the asphalt of the Jules Tacheny circuit, an enthusiastic audience and a generous autumn sun were the ingredients of another super cool weekend of motorsport.
On a sporting level there were no real surprises, because on Sunday the German Marc-Reiner Schmidt achieved his 4th victory in Mettet. His compatriot Alfred Wolber took the Superquader trophy. In the senior race, which featured some of the riders who made the event famous in the 90s and 2000s, Jean-Marc Gaillard won ahead of Christophe Bertrand.
