Coldenhoff: “Seewer also passed by in the last lap”
The FIM MXGP World Championship is proving difficult for the Monster Energy-Yamaha-MXGP Team. Jeremy Seewer is still suffering from his corona infection and Glenn Coldenhoff is looking for his best form. Both managed to take a step forward during the German Grand Prix. They talk about this and 'Rookie' Ben Watson also speaks.
Jeremy Seewer:
“We are certainly making progress and that is positive. Physically I'm doing well. I feel good and I was able to make some improvements today. I know I'm not yet in the top five, where I belong in the timed training, but we are making progress. I hope that within a few Grand Prix's I can be further up front again and fight for the podium."
Glenn Coldenhoff:
“In the end it was a positive day. We tested last week and made progress. I am very happy with this. I had a hard time in training, but despite this we still found a good setup. I got two very good starts and that is very positive. I showed good intensity in the second moto and I felt very good on the bike. It's a shame about the last ten minutes. A straggler fell in front of me, allowing Pauls Jonass to pass me and Seewer also passed me on the last lap. That wasn't good but it's ok for me. I have made progress and it is another good result. I'm happy with this and I'm looking forward to the rest of the season."
Ben Watson:
“It was quite a positive day. It wasn't great but it's OK, consistent and we've definitely made progress. I really have to work on qualifying because I now have to start from too far outside. I finished where I started and it was a bit of following the leader in both motos but I managed to get a solid result and I'm happy with that."
