Tom Vialle takes his first pole position
A surprise in Afyonkarahisar because Tom Vialle starts today from pole position. The KTM rider has never been the first to choose a spot behind the starting gate during the FIM MX2 World Championship! Jed Beatin, the fastest in training in the previous race, from second place ahead of Gianluca Facchetti! The much-discussed Italian surprises friend and foe with a super time. Mattia Guadagnini trains fourth for World Cup leader Maxime Renaux.
The best Laaglander is Kay de Wolf, the Eersel native trains to the eighth fastest time while Jago Geerts does not get further than an 18th fastest time. Julian Vander Auwera is also the man with the red lantern today, he has the 25th fastest time, more than 13 seconds behind Vialle. Both heats later today, the first starts at 11.15am, which means there is a (1) hour time difference with Turkey.
