“My feeling is the most important thing.”
The first half of the Grand Prix season has been difficult for the Monster Energy Yamaha Factory MXGP. All three drivers managed to make little or no impression, but things are going in the right direction. Jeremy Seewer, Ben Watson and Glenn Coldenhoff feel they are on the right track. Here on MXMag they talk about their race in Riola Sardo.
Jeremy Seewer:
“Since Turkey things have only gone in the right direction. I started to feel better like I normally do. However, this week I only rode the bike for two days, but these were good days. I'm not there yet because it's not just gone, but I got this out in the toughest Grand Prix of the year! It was very hot and the track was really tough. It was important to be fit here and my condition is still very good at the moment, even though it is not where I want to be."
Ben Watson:
“There are positive things that I take with me from today, but there are also things that need to be improved and worked on. After Turkey I started the day with the aim of finishing in the top ten in both motos. I know I can do much better than I did in Turkey. After last weekend I wanted to set a realistic goal. It's not always easy to hit back. I'm looking forward to next week!''
Glenn Coldenhoff:
“I didn't feel good in the first moto and I was struggling. Even though I felt very bad, I managed to get a tenth place. I made a number of adjustments for the second moto and it already felt a lot better. My start was also a lot better. I felt good in the beginning until I made a mistake and crashed hard. It then took me a few laps to get back into the rhythm. I felt that I could start again towards the end of the match. That was very good and I managed to come back to tenth place. The result is still terrible but I'm happy that I ended it on a positive note and with a good feeling on the bike. My feeling is the most important thing.”
